Open Access Software for groundwater flow and reactive transport - 2

Surface Water Models

1)  US Army Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center

The Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) has been developing computer software for hydrologic engineering and planning analysis procedures since its inception in 1964.

2) Storm Water Management Model (SWMM)

EPA's Stormwater Management Model (SWMM) is used throughout the world for planning, analysis, and design related to stormwater runoff, combined and sanitary sewers, and other drainage systems.

Groundwater Models

1) MODFLOW 6: USGS Modular Hydrologic Model

MODFLOW program has been widely used to accurately, reliably, and efficiently simulate groundwater flow.

2) SUTRA

SutraPrep Version 1.0 (3D.1) facilitates the creation of three-dimensional (3D) input datasets for the USGS ground-water flow and transport model SUTRA Version 2.0 (2D3D.1).

3) HST3D

A Computer Code for Simulation of Heat and Solute Transport in Three-Dimensional Ground-Water Flow Systems.

4) MT3D

Groundwater Solute Transport Simulator for MODFLOW

5) MOC3D

Three-dimensional method-of-characteristics ground-water flow and transport model integrated with MODFLOW-96
